Tia Hodges
VP, Corporate Giving, Employee Engagement & Volunteerism, MetLife President & CEO, MetLife Foundation
Tia has dedicated nearly 20 years to creating and implementing strategies that drive systemic change at the intersection of philanthropy, nonprofit and social impact sectors to improve social and economic progress in communities across the U.S. She joined MetLife Foundation in July 2021 to lead the strategic evolution and grantmaking efforts serving individuals and communities in more than 37 countries around the world.
Danielle Vetter
Assistant Vice President, Corporate Giving & Employee Engagement, MetLife Foundation
Danielle leads MetLife Foundation’s philanthropic work in the new Economic Inclusion grant making portfolio. She supports the execution of the Foundation’s strategy through stewarding partnerships focused on providing the training and supports for under represented and underserved young people and adults to be competitive in the new economy.
Jose Rosado
Assistant Vice President, Corporate Giving, MetLife Foundation
José leads MetLife Foundation’s Financial Health commitments and efforts. Before joining MetLife Foundation, he over saw community engagement—including philanthropy, cause marketing and associate engagement—at The TJX Companies. José was also a Program Officer for the Fidelity Foundation, leading grantmaking in key markets across the country; and Director of Programs for Liberty Mutual Foundation, where he conceptualized and launched multimillion-dollar initiatives in education, basic services and inclusion
John Amaral
Chief of Staff to Mike Zarcone(Head of Corporate Affairs), MetLife
John joined MetLife in 1995 and the Corporate Affairs group in 2010. Currently, John serves as Chief of Staff to the Head of Corporate Affairs and in 2021 started providing administrative support to the MetLife Foundation team. His primary Foundation administrative responsibilities include payment processing and Salesforce grant portal support
Dimitri Berenstein
Director, Grants & Knowledge Management, MetLife Foundation
Dimitri joined MetLife Foundation in September 2022. He leads the Grants & Knowledge Management workstreams, supporting grants administration and information capturing, analysis and reporting. Before joining the Foundation, Dimitri gained a rich experience in the nonprofit sphere, most recently as a Program Manager at a private foundation
Charlie Pettigrew
Director, Corporate Giving & Employee Engagement, MetLife Foundation
Charlie oversees MetLife Foundation’s Resilient Communities program. He is responsible for developing and managing a multimillion-dollar grantmaking portfolio that seeks to dramatically improve the quality of life for under served and underrepresented individuals and families. His portfolio includes environmental and sustainability grants, physical and mental well-being initiatives, arts and cultural grants, and disaster relief and response support.
April Hawkins
Assistant Vice President, Employee Engagement & Volunteering, MetLife Foundation
April leads global employee volunteerism and engagement. She has successfully led global expansion of the program, increased pro bono and skills-based opportunities, and designed and implemented MetLife’s first regional, global and virtual service initiatives. Her previous grantmaking roles focused on neighborhood revitalization and youth development in low- to moderate-income communities
